Not enough hours in the day

:(

There are not enough hours in the day. Sorry for the lack of posts Ive got two week till my 3rd year uni exams and Im totally freaking out. Hence, a lack of time for buying, hauling, reviewing etc etc. Still been finding time to read other people's wonderful blogs though and that is keeping me sane. :)

I'd love to do more posts and reviews etc but its all on hold atm. However, I recently have purchased some great products which deserve a quick mention.

1. Batiste dry shampoo in tropical. Works great. Smells lovely. See lollipop26's review.
2. Prestige Glam Tan. Everyone is talking about this and yes it's lovely.
3. FCUK bodyspray. As mentioned by lollipop26. I love the smell. This makes me smile

I feel this is really rude to mention products in this ridiculously brief way with no photos. :( But I think I'd feel worse for not mentioning them at all. Check out lollipop26. She is on youtube too. If you haven't heard of her - where have you been? :-p Awesome blogger and youtuber and seems like a genuinely lovely person. :) I try a lot of the products she recommends and I'm never usually disappointed.

Must go do useful things. Thanks for reading. :) xxx

Haul pictures continued.

Here are some more picys of things I have purchased over the last 4 weeks or something. :) Apologies for some iffy picture quality. I know what I want from santa this year already. lol.

This is my very first china glaze nail polish. yey. :) I purchased it for a ball that I had recently. Most gorgeous purple colour called Coconut Kiss. I got this at a Sally's in town. It was a bit more expensive than what I'd usually pay but I'm a bit of a cheapo when it comes to nail polish. I was quite impressed by quality however, it did require two coats and wasnt very quick drying. Actually it took ages. :( I put this on my toes too and it is lasting soooo well. So stands up well over time with no chipping. Not sure if this would have been the same on my hands though as I only wore it for two days.

Barry M dazzle dust no. 23 which is a gorgeous deep blue with shimmer. I heart Barry M dazzle dusts. They are amazing quality and pigmentation. This one is no exception. I wore this with parfait armour from MAC. I love the colour its pretty unique I think.

Thanks for reading. :) And thanks to the girlies who comment as well. I love reading comments and appreciate people taking the time to do so. :)

Hope you all had a good day. Mines was a total waste of time. lol

Haul pictures

Ive decide to post a seies of pictures of things I have bought over the last month. In no particular order I'm afraid because I can't remember when I got them. lol Doesn't really matter anyway. :) So here we go..

Non-make-up related. I got these in WHSmith. The notebook is A4 and lined inside and was going cheap. It was about £1.99 I think, which isn't too bad. I love the pinkness of it. The study cards are a really good idea and I'm finding them really useful at the moment as I'm studying hard for my exams. I have since bought another pack of them I liked them so much. You can write a question of one side and the answer of the other. They are held together by a keyring-like metal loop which opens up so that you can change the order. Great idea but overpriced I paid about £2-£4 for a pack of two.

This was quite a serious haul I did one morning. I got MAC makeup wipes; MAC brush cleaner; BeneFit slanted brush; Clinique take the day off; and some nivea visage eye cream. Here are my opinions of each product. :)

1. MAC Wipes. I hate these. There you go doesn't get much simpler than that. lol I have heard many people rave about these. Like properly rave and say how amazing they are. I disagree. I've never really felt so strongly before about a product but these are overpriced rubbish. They do not remove even half of my make-up; they are dry; small in size; thin; and stink. Horrible, horrible smell. I think it's meant to be cucumber....Anyway not a pleasant smell. I can't believe how expensive these are but how poor they are in terms of quality. I much, much, MUCH prefer my Johnson's 3 in 1 facial cleansing wipes. These are only about £2-£3 and are fantastic. In a different league from the MAC ones. Sorry about the lengthy rant, I had no-one else to moan about this too so unfortunately I've just moaned about it on here.

2. MAC brush cleaner. I like this. I won't rant about this. lol I have transfered some of it into a wee spray bottle to make it easier to use. Very effective product.

3. Benefit slanted brush. LOVE this. I love the soft bristles. I like the short handle. I like the slantedness. lol A MA at their counter once used this brush to put blusher on me and I lvoed it then. I find it much easier to apply my blusher to the right place with this product. I admit I'm not great on the blusher front so this simplifies things a bit for me. :)

4. Clinique Take the Day Off. I used to have this. I loved it. It ran out and I didn't buy a new one. Until now! I still love this product. I havn't found anything better to remove my eye make-up remover with.

5. Nivea Visage Anti-wrinkle Q10 plus eye cream. My friend had a right hoot when I told her about this. I'm quite young but I have recently noticed some very fine lines appearing under my eyes. I was, and still am, very distressed about this. Like really upset. I can't convey how upset I am by this. My friend thinks Im being daft but I can notice it. On sneaky inspections of my other friends eye areas I notice that they have similar if not worse lines/bags. But Im really quite young. This should not be happening. My mum has amazing skin and zero wrinkles and she is 50!

Anyway that was the whole reason for that haul - the eye wrinkle issue. I think I'd been pretty horrible to my eyes with cheap make-up remover hence the purchasing of the clinique. I was not impressive with the nivea so if anyone has any eye cream recommendations let me know!

Wow long post. Ive got some more pictures and stuff but I'll leave them for next time. Thanks for reading. If you got to the end well done. It was quite a rambling rant at times. Have a biscuit to congratulate yourself. :)

Reviewing some stuff

Oh dear. Its been an age since I last blogged. Been very busy with uni work I'm afraid. However, I have done a wee bit of make-up shopping in between times but unfortunately I havn't been able to share my hauls with you. :( Sorry. The only good side of this is that I've now had some of these products for a while so I can offer you my thoughts on them. :)

Ok now you're going to think I really sad here, but I actually took picys of the stuff I'd bought when I got back from the shops. lol Just because I knew at some point that I'd want/need to blog about it. lol

Haul 1

We have some sponges, nivea lip care, dove deodorant and sudocream. These were from boots and bodycare. So... here's what I think about...

1. The sponges. I bought these for cleaning my face. I used to a flannel, I tried these, hated them and I have now gone back to cotton wool. Definitely not the most environmentally friendly option but much better for my skin.

2. The Nivea Lip Care "Caregloss and Shine". I believe this is a colour called pink... something. There are two shades that I am aware of and I went for the pinkier, darker one. The other is a more nude colour. I love this. Like when I first got it I couldn't stop wearing it. This is a good sign. Pretty cheap too. I'm sure it wasn't more than £2.

3. The Dove Deodorant. I like dove deodrants they do make my underarms smoother and nicer. I also really like "stick" deodorants. A bit like soap admittedly but preferably to spraying stuff everywhere and those horrible roll-ons. *shivers*. Anyway I usually go for the original one, but this time I tried the "Invisible Dry Anti-White Marks". It smells a bit different but still pleasant. Only thing I'd say is it isnt totally anti-white marks. I didnt think it would be tbh. It is defo less white marks than the other one but not totally fool proof when wearing a black top.

4. Sudocream. I was late on this whole bandwagon. I tried it after listening to and reading the wonderful comments from lollipop26. (Check her blog out its amazing). Anyway, I was perhaps too optimistic and excited about this product. Unfortunately it didnt work for me at all. Dried my skin out horribly. I could perhaps try it again in the summer.....

Thats it for this post. Hopefully more to follow. If there is one thing you try make it that Nivea lip gloss. :)

KREATIV TAG

Firstly, sorry for the lack of blogging recently. It's coming up to exam time so that means proper revising. I had still been finding time to read everyone else's blogs and leave a few comments here and there, but not much time to post my own. Which is a shame because I've bought some bits and pieces recently that I want to share with you. Soon hopefully. I'm totally skiving just now. *slaps wrist* ;)

Anyway Lazula80 tagged me for this. So here we go....

"List 7 things that you love, and then pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you love! Be sure to tag them and let them know that they have won. You can copy the picture of the award and paste it on our sideboard letting the whole world know...you are Kreativ" (I copied this bit from Lazula80 cos it explains it all wonderfully)

7 THINGS THAT I LOVE:

  1. Family and friends
  2. The boyfriend
  3. Make-up
  4. Shopping
  5. Uni (although it's a kinda love/hate relationship sometimes. lol)
  6. Bunnies
  7. Getting dressed up.

7 BLOGGERS THAT I LOVE ARE:

  1. Kandee the make-up artist
  2. Hele says
  3. The Yummy Mummy's Beauty
  4. lollipop26
  5. Beautifully Glossy
  6. Angels with Dirty Faces
  7. Llyangel

I love Lazula80's blog but I think it would be a bit pointless to tag her back. lol (sorry about that Lazula)

I'm also not clever enough to make their names a link.... I wish I could do that...hmm..

Anyway hope I've done this right. Over and out.

What did I learn today?

Its been a while since I last did one of these posts. I have been learning though don't worry. ;)

What I learnt:
1. Snow is march is NOT cool. The tiniest little bit can cause ridiculous amounts of disruption to daily life, such as, driving at 10mph on a motorway causing a huge tailback and making people late.

2. There are some horrible skin conditions out there.

3. At some point in my career Im likely to get head lice. Apparently. *SO unimpressed*

4. Surprises are great. :D

5. All is not what it seems regarding a certain relationship... hmmm... intriguing.

TAG: 6 things that make me happy

Hiya I was tagged to do this an embarrassingly long time ago by the lovely Lazula80. (you can find her here:http://lazula80.blogspot.com/ ) Sorry its taken me so long!

So here we go....

1. My boyfriend. Been going out with him for two years now, and he makes me very very, very, I-get-dancing-feet kinda happy. lol He knows me sooo well and can often predict what Im going to do before I even know myself. Anyway I could talk about him all day but lets not cos I'll make you all sick with the mushyness. :)

2. My uni friends. They are the bestest. We had the best rants to each other and the best laughs too. We are so wonderfully geeky together, yet cool in our own extra special way. :)

3. The prospect of a big night out. I love going out. I live by the work hard, party hard rule. I don't get to party as much as I would sometimes like but when I do it is done properly. lol Uni nights out with a theme are always so much fun.

4. Spring. Signs of spring are making me very happy at the moment. I love seeing snowdrops and the buds of the trees. Also, this is not really related to spring but I love seeing wildlife from the bus window on my way to uni. Like deer, and birds of prey etc. It makes me smile being able to spot these creatures minding their own business while no-one else on the bus seems to notice them. I saw a fox once sculking about in a field - Im quite proud of that. Probably seems really sad but it gives me a huge sense of wellbeing.

5. Make-up. Yeah is this sad? I feel like I shoulda come up with something made meaningful. But I love make-up and applying it and shopping for it makes me happy. The end.

6. Surprises. Getting nice surprises makes me happy. As does planning surprises for other people. :)

Thats it. Apologies for the lack of depth and insight. I went a bit mad with the colours due to lack of picys.

I tag: Dazzledust25 GlossQueen and Ondine. Apologies if you have already done this tag. :)
